With over 10 years of experience in the field, I have had the opportunity to work with clients from diverse backgrounds, dealing with a wide range of issues. In my career as a Social Worker, I’ve had the pleasure of serving in a variety of settings, including both hospital and community environments. This experience has instilled in me a deep understanding and broad perspective of how different environments influence mental health. Working in hospital settings allowed me to address acute mental health issues and provide immediate interventions. On the other hand, community settings enabled me to witness and address the long-term impact of mental health on individuals’ everyday lives. This comprehensive experience ensures that I bring a well-rounded approach to my practice at Praxis Counselling.
My areas of practice include anxiety, depression, cultural issues, life transitions, relationship issues, addiction, anger management and stress management.
My goal as a therapist is to create a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their thoughts and emotions without fear. I believe in the power of empathy and active listening, and I strive to understand each individual’s unique experiences and perspectives.
I am passionate about integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness approaches into my therapy sessions. These techniques have been proven effective in helping individuals develop coping skills, manage difficult emotions and improve their overall well-being.

In addition to my professional qualifications, I also bring a personal touch to my practice. I am fluent in Korean, which allows me to serve both English-speaking and Korean-speaking clients effectively. This linguistic capability expands my reach as a therapist and allows me to better understand and address the cultural nuances and specific issues faced by the Korean community. I am committed to providing a safe space for all clients, and my ability to communicate effectively in Korean is an asset in achieving this goal.
